The fine print
Privacy policy
Effective September 5, 2026
We’re a small company, so this is short and in plain language. It covers smallscollective.com while we’re in early access.
What we collect
- If you join the list: your email address, and (only if you choose to tell us) what you resell.
- If you create an account: your account email and settings, such as your margin floor. We also keep the items you save, bids, purchases and sales you record, research and listing drafts, and records of your Gem credit use.
- Basic technical logs that keep the site running (standard for any website).
What we use it for
- Running your account, keeping you signed in, and saving your research and settings.
- Providing item estimates and listing drafts, and recording the Gem credits you use.
- Sending account messages and any optional gem alerts you enable.
- Sending launch news and early-access updates if you join the list.
- Responding to support requests and finding problems with the site.
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
Cookies and analytics
We use login cookies to keep members signed in. With your statistics consent, Google Analytics and PostHog help us understand visits and how the app is used. Analytics events can be associated with your account ID. PostHog can also record a replay of the screen to help us find problems. Typed input and rendered text are masked; media and sensitive attributes are blocked or removed. Page URLs exclude query strings and fragments. Optional analytics for ordinary members follow the statistics-consent choice. Our two verified founder accounts use analytics for internal testing even without that choice; this exception does not apply to other accounts.
When marketing measurement is enabled and you give marketing consent, we can save campaign and referral information to understand how people found Smalls. These choices are separate from the cookies needed to sign in.
Optional gem alerts
If you enable device alerts, we store your browser’s push subscription and encryption keys so we can send your updates through its push service. If you turn on email fallback, we use your confirmed account email only when no registered device can receive an alert. If you choose email alerts, we send them to your confirmed account address through Resend. These alerts are separate from marketing emails. You can turn them off or remove a device in your profile settings. Removing your account removes its saved notification settings and devices.
Where it lives
Supabase stores account and product records, and Vercel hosts the site. Anthropic processes item details and auction images to produce research and listing drafts. Google Analytics and PostHog process optional analytics as described above. If you enable email or device alerts, Resend or your browser’s push service processes the information needed to deliver them. These services process data to provide their part of the product.
Leaving the list
One email to hello@smallscollective.com and you’re off the list, and we’ll delete your information on request. No hoops.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll email the list before it takes effect.
