Why we built this
A good eye deserves a second look.
Finding something interesting is the easy part. Knowing whether it is worth buying takes more than a low opening bid.
We built Smalls Collective to put the item, the evidence and the estimated costs in one place. So you can spend less time guessing and make a more considered bid.
Free accounts are open. Paid plans are not on sale yet.

Built around the decision
Before you own it.
Before you list it.
Smalls Collective is built by Miriam and Tim. It started with the questions behind a secondhand find: what is it, what might it sell for, and what will it cost to get there?
Those questions are easy to rush when a listing is about to close. We want the research to be easier to read, including the part that tells you to leave a lot alone.
From interesting to informed
Start with the item
Browse the finds available with your plan, or bring a ShopGoodwill or Salvation Army auction link you found yourself.
Look past the bid
Review the resale estimate alongside auction costs, shipping, fees and your time. Look for missing information before treating an estimate as a reason to buy.
Make your own call
Use the suggested maximum bid as a research aid. Check the original listing, condition and current price. Every bid is yours to place.
The part we take seriously
The estimate is not the outcome.
A resale estimate is not a sale. A suggested maximum bid is not a guarantee. And an interesting auction is not automatically a good use of your time.
Keep the costs in view
Auction price, sales tax, shipping in both directions, selling fees, packaging, a return reserve and optional labor all belong in the decision. Some are known; others are estimates that need checking.
Leave room to walk away
Missing comparisons, uncertain condition or expensive shipping can change the picture. The useful answer is sometimes to pass. We do not promise an income or that a find will pay for your subscription.
Fair questions.
Can I sign up now?
Yes. You can create a free account now. Paid plans are not available for purchase yet; the pricing page describes the planned options.
Are the profit estimates guaranteed?
No. An estimate is a starting point, not money earned. The final auction price, condition, shipping, selling price and time to sell can all change the outcome.
Do you bid for me?
No. Smalls Collective is watch-only research for members. You review the item and place any bid yourself through the auction site.
What if the evidence is thin?
Treat the estimate with caution. Review its confidence and available sold comparisons, check the source listing, and leave room for costs that are still unknown.
