The fine print

Terms of service

Effective August 23, 2026

Welcome! Smalls Collective is pre-bid research for secondhand-auction sourcing, run by a two-person company in Memphis, Tennessee. These terms cover smallscollective.com while we’re in early access.

Where things stand today

You can create a free account and use the research tool. Nothing is for sale yet — there is no paid plan, no card on file, and no way to be charged. When paid plans open we’ll publish terms for the paid service and email you before anything takes effect.

What the tool is (and isn't)

  • It’s research: estimates of what items might resell for, based on real sold listings, with all-in cost math.
  • It’s watch-only: we never place bids for you and never touch your auction accounts. Every bid is yours, on your own accounts, under those marketplaces’ rules.
  • Estimates are estimates. Real markets move, items surprise you, and no estimate is a guarantee of what something will sell for.

No income promises

We share our own real numbers and how we got them. We earned ours — your results will vary, and reselling involves real risk, real work, and real costs. If anyone promises you guaranteed profits, run.

Your account

  • You need a working email address, and you’ll confirm it before the tool will run a deep check for you. One account per person.
  • Your password is yours to keep safe. We never see it, and we’ll never ask for it — not by email, not in chat. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you, so tell us if you think someone else got in.
  • You must be old enough to enter a binding contract where you live (18 in most of the US), because bidding at auction is one.
  • The free plan has real limits, and we describe them on the pricing page rather than in the fine print: how soon gems reach you, how many lanes you follow, how many deep checks you get a month. We may change those limits, and if we reduce what a free account gets we’ll email you first.

Closing your account

You can ask us to close it any time — email hello@smallscollective.com and we’ll delete it and the settings attached to it. No hoops, no retention call.

We can close an account too, and we’ll tell you why. In practice that means one of the things in the next section, or an account that is costing us real money in AI and comp lookups without a person behind it. If we close yours and you had paid us something, you get the unused part back.

Your part

  • Use the site lawfully, and keep it to one account.
  • Don’t scrape it, resell it, or feed it to another tool. The estimates cost us real money to produce — every deep check is a paid AI call and a paid comp lookup — which is why there are limits on them at all.
  • Don’t try to get around those limits, whether by script, by extra accounts, or by sharing one login around.
  • Don’t attack the site or try to reach data that isn’t yours.
  • Anything you buy at auction is between you and that marketplace.

Ours

The site, brand, and content belong to Smalls Collective. The auction listings we link to belong to their marketplaces.

The legal basics

The site is provided as-is while in early access, and we don’t promise it will always be up or always be right. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for decisions you make based on estimates — including a lot that sold for less than we thought, or one we never showed you. These terms are governed by Tennessee law. If we change them meaningfully we’ll email everyone with an account before the change takes effect, and using the site after that is how you accept it.
